EASTER AT LONG BRANCH Historic House & Farm
Saturday April 11, 2009 Long Branch Historic House and Farm near Millwood will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Clarke County Day, beginning at 1 p.m. April 11. Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny and Little Miss Clarke County Angel Crider will welcome visitors. The activities will include hayrides, kite displays, face-painting, and a 4-H petting zoo. Boy Scout Troop 11 will help to set up and supervise the 2 p.m. hunt, which is for children 10 and younger. Everyone should bring baskets. Mansion tours and tea parties will be offered for a fee, and the Shenandoah Carriage Co. will provide rides in its Cinderella carriage for $2 per person on a first-come, first-served basis. Concessions will include Coffee and Cream and Mr. B’s BBQ. The event is free for Clarke County residents and $10 for each carload of non-residents. Call 540-837-1856
